how we got here
we did not set out to make things for childhood. we spent years building software for grown-ups — the dashboards, the checkout flows, the quietly clever systems that move money and attention around.
somewhere in there we kept noticing the same thing. the care that went into a banking app almost never reached the things made for children. the colours got louder, the craft got thinner.
the moment that stuck was watching a small person poke at an "educational" app that flashed and rewarded and taught almost nothing. it felt like a quiet betrayal of their attention.
so we started eenhoorn. we brought the same patience we had spent on serious software to the things made for the youngest, most careful kind of attention. we mean to stay small, and to keep it that way on purpose.
